Nonethess, Iuron needs to derive some measure of credibility and bind it to its sources of factual data.

This is by all means better avoided. Some search engines do so, but it makes an engine labour-intensive to maintain and potentially. It also potentially opens gaps for corruption.

Web Directories

There is some bias among Web directories, so they might not be worth relying on for a measure of credibility. Instead, one might use traffic statistics, but unfortunately that does not account for the 'cattle effect' or momentum.
